The vision for the Joint Venture's Science Network is a collaborative multi-dsiclinary science team informing conservation, restoration & management actions aimed to maximize conservation delivery, restoration success, and effective management of SFBJV conservation targets and resources into the future.

online science NETWORK
This online science network is designed to facilitate and foster cross-communication and collaboration among multi-disciplinary Joint Venture research and conservation partners throughout the San Francisco Bay area by providing a forum for registered participants to easily upload and share documents, calendar items, links, discussions and thoughts.
This online science forum features:
- Easy access and ability to upload to a searchable document library and information pertinent to Joint Venture initiatives, funding opportunities and or conservation focal areas
- Topic-related online discussion forums within focus themes to foster dialogs/blogs between researchers, conservation/restoration practitioners & land managers
- Project management forum for each focus area to share and edit pertinent documents
- Information about topic related events and relevant website links
- RSS feeds that alert participants of new posts and updates

Joint Venture partners will receive a login and initial password. Once in the system, partners will be able to join any established Joint Venture science focus group (see left side bar). To register as a new user or to start additional focus groups, please contact the Joint Venture

Each focus group page includes a discussion forum, calendar, document library (searchable across all focus groups), area to share and edit pertinent documents, weblinks, project management interface and a RSS feed sign up. All participants can upload & download documents, calendar items, access weblinks and documents and post to the discussion forum in one or more focus groups of their choice. Any time new postings are added to the site, partners that have installed RSS feeds will be alerted and invited to login to the site.
